Alfred Hitchcock Meet Agatha Christie

Excellent ten-thousand-word overview.Three types of drug found in her system, but only one type of prescription found at the scene. She was found by her hairdresser who knew her dress and habits enough to spot Ten Things Wrong With This Picture. To add to the similarities of Clue or The Lady Vanishes, we have the “husband” asleep on the floor above, the butler who was already agitated, the “platonic” lover who proves an ever smellier fish. She had exclusive access to the Ruby transcript and to the most important surviving witness to the conspiracy identified to the public. Her growing awareness and expressed intent to spill the beans brought her sudden demise. In a fashion eerily reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe's death she'd written so suspiciously of a few years prior. If this Pataky is still alive, waterboard him, or in the alternative, show him Uncle Buck's cordless Mirandizer.

This is very interesting. I didn't know this:On Aug. 3, 1962, Kilgallen became the first journalist to refer publicly to Marilyn Monroe's relationship with a Kennedy. Within 48 hours, Marilyn was found dead of a drug overdose at her Los Angeles residence. The inquiry into her death was marred by numerous unanswered questions and contradictions in the medical findings.* Dorothy publicly challenged the authorities with tough questions. For instance, she wrote, "If the woman described as Marilyn's 'housekeeper' [Eunice Murray] was really a housekeeper, why was her bedroom such a mess? It was a small house and should have been easy to keep tidy." Kilgallen also wanted to know "why was Marilyn's door locked that night, when she didn't usually lock it? If she were just trying to get to sleep, and took the overdose of pills accidentally, why was the light on? Usually people sleep better in the dark." And she asked, "Why did the first doctor [to arrive on the scene] have to call the second doctor before calling the police? Any doctor, even a psychiatrist, knows a dead person when he sees one, especially when rigor mortis has set in and there are marks of lividity on the surface of the face and body. Why the consultation? Why the big time gap in such a small town? Mrs. Murray gets worried at about 3 a.m., and it's almost 6 a.m. before the police get to the scene."Kilgallen wrote that "the real story hasn't been told, not by a long shot." Such bold reporting was not common in American journalism at that time. She could not have known that her own life would end under circumstances eerily similar to Marilyn's.

Dorothy Kilgallen, was quite famous in her time as a news reporter, magazine author, and socialite operating in high circles of money andpower. She worked tirelessly to get a great "scoop" story for her readership. She decided to attend the trial of Jack Ruby in Dallas, Tx. andspent quite a bit of time there. During this time, thru her good offices with the Sheriffs Dept. and local contacts, she alone was permittedto visit in a private room with defendant, Jack Ruby, for the murder of suspected murderer Lee Harvey Oswald, accused of killing DPD OfficerJD Tippit, and killing President John F. Kennedy, from the 6th floor of the TSBD, where Oswald worked. Dorothy was known to have takencopious notes, and perhaps even recordings of conversations with Jack Ruby who she found pleasant, accomodating, and willing to tell hisside of the events that happened on Friday, Nov. 22, 1963 through that weekend resulting in the death of the prime suspect. LH Oswald. After returning home, she met with her publisher and told him of her discoveries and her intention of writing a series of articles on thesubjects and events. She already had created a basic rough draft manuscript of what was told to her in confidence by numerous personsin Dallas, besides Ruby. She confided many closely held secrets about the events in Dallas, to her best girlfriend, who warned her several times, that she was in dangerous territory. Suddenly, Dorothy is found dead fully dressed, in her bed, allegedly from a mixture of alcohol, and prescription drugs. Within 10 days, her girlfriend was also dead but I cannot recall the circumstances, but the cause was suspicious to law officials for numerous reasons. Dorothy's unpublished manuscript was never found, having been stolen from her home by someone. It isalleged by some on the ' What's My Line." television program, that Dorothy was having a torrid love affair with nightclub singer, Johnny Raye, who was slightly famous at that time for his signature song, "Cry."It is believed that Ruby, realizing that he had been double crossed like Oswald, was going to do some serious time in jail if convicted anddecided to spill his guts to a woman he felt he could trust, to tell the world, why he had been forced into the position of murdering Oswaldon the weekend after the murder of JFK in Dealey Plaza. Neither probable murders of Dorothy and her friend have ever been solved. Herunpublished manuscript has never been seen again following her mysterious sudden death. Why???

You can be sure that her liquidation was discussed at the highest levels. Intel chief #1: "We are going to have to have that Kilgallen bitch taken care of once and for all! She's getting too close to the evidence and all we need is her with a large following publicizing our secrets like a bloodhound". Other agency head: "Isn't there some way we can send her a message, quiet her up so she backs off?" IC #1: "An injured animal is far more unpredictable and dangerous than a dead one. She was right to dig into the Marilyn Monroe mess, we had to work overtime to keep that conspiracy under wraps". Head #2: "Can't we just throw some acid in her face or send a couple thugs over to break a few of her bones?" IC #1: "No way, she is too dangerous, we will send one of our best over to make it look like she pulled a Marilyn, OD'ing on meds. It will cost around $10K, we get Dr. death to do the job, nothing traceable back to us. We also have poisons that can be put in apple pie that can't be traced back, causing massive heart attacks, but that is too uncertain".Head #2: "I'll let you take care of it, someone needs to tell one of LBJ's men that we took care of her. He will owe us a big debt".IC#1: "Yes. When the time comes we will cash this chip in for a big payday for ourselves, like the other jobs".
