Nancy Schaefer: Political Assassination?

Has anyone been reading up on the Nancy Schaefer case? Schaefer was a former Georgia state senator who was killed a few days back in an apparent murder-suicide. Her husband, Bruce, reportedly shot Nancy in the back while she slept and then shot himself in the chest. They were both in their early 70s, had been married 52 years, and had five children and some grandkids. In the immediate wake of the incident, Sen. Don Thomas came out and said he believed Bruce suffered from terminal cancer. Well, that doesn't appear to be the case. And even though Thomas is continually being referred to as a "friend of the Schaefers" in all media stories, he was actually a political rival. It seems his comments could have been an attempt to control the story and bolster the murder-suicide idea. So why would The Powers That Be want to assassinate a 73-year-old former state senator? Well, it just so happens that Nancy was trying to expose Atlanta's child sex trafficking. She had dedicated her life to defending the rights of children and reforming the corruption within the Department of Family & Child Services. And child sex trafficking is happening. It exists. And, sadly, it involves many prominent politicians and business leaders. Michael, myself living here in Georgia, I have heard very little mention on the Schaefer case from the local TV news. Of course it might be getting more attention from the Atlanta local TV stations. I think there is more than meets the eye in this case as well.
