As for me I have no idea what the plotters wanted? or even who the plotters actually were?As for why to leave the casing, might be better to leave it on the fence than carry it with you?

The plotter's were the CIA and The Military Industrial complex. Ed Lansdale was on site so he had to be one of the Plotter's Generals for the ground troops. As far as, Jimmy not wanting to carry the shell, but would carry his gun away with him???I would have to say that someone found a shell or shells that day behind the fence if he or someone left one. They found cigarette butts, and foot prints, so how could they not find a shell he left?
