EXCELLENT thread! Yes...unfortunately "We The People", have turned into "We The Sheeple". It's partly because of the government leaders obviously, but I place almost as much blame on the gutless, bought off MSM. I embarrassed sometimes to say I'm a journalist.

It's not via the MSM, but through the internet. But even the internet has sites that hide the truth too, like The Huffington Post for instance. Huff Po refuses to allow any stories that search for the truth regarding conspiracies on their site, whether it's about the JFK assassination or 9/11. That is why people go to sites like this one. The people that are truly controlled by the MSM are the older folks (55 aqnd older). That is why FOX News has monster ratings. But FOX is not alone with the propaganda that they report as truth. They all do it. MSNBC, CNN, whoever. Certainly the big three do...NBC, ABC and CBS. Plus you have the newspapers that are dying, mostly because of the easy availability of news and information on the internet. Once again, it's the older folks that still have subscriptions to newspapers. I'll never forget that it was a couple of "liberal" rags, The New York Times and The Washington Post, that beat the war drum the loudest in the lead up to the war in Iraq. Bottom line, I have faith that the young people in this world will not be as gullable as their parents and grandparents.

You can determine BS from truth pretty quickly. Most of the older folks just drink the kool aid. Some in my generation do too. Hell, I'm getting pretty close myself to the 55 and older category.
