Just the death toll this year has exceeded all other years save one in recorded history, and the numbers of quakes is approaching record breaking numbers too. Still, seismic activity is extremely common for Chile and some of these other areas.http://www.pamil-visions.net/chile-eart ... nt/214379/

The front that caused the Mississippi tornados came over the Gulf of Mexico last night and hit the Tampa Bay area. Nasty, vicious weather. Violent thunderstoms. Tampa Bay is the lightning capital of the world by the way. Pea sized hail. A tornado touched down less than a mile away from where we live. Trees were down in the neighborhood. To make matters worse, I had a freaked out puppy named Vince.

After the massive oil spill in the Gulf after the explosion, the chant from the right wing should become..."SPILL BABY SPILL", instead of "drill baby drill". Once again...F the environment and just follow the money.

Time to re-visit Prouty on the origins of oil. Is it really a fossil fuel? (who designated it as so?). Is it really that scarce?

JD, I think it is not a "fossil fuel," that its control is similar to that of diamonds and gold. That developing our own supply would mean more freedom than the Saudis and their white harem would allow. The Prince paid Obama's way to Harvard, and where is Murdoch headquartered. They own people in "power." And have since Jack Philby, Allen Dulles, and King Ibn Saud were Los Tres Amigos.

Yes...ALL the "drill baby drill" people are suddenly mute. At least the Gulf will already be warm when hurricane season comes.
