Joe all the initial reports from the local TV stations and the 3 major networks reported a 7.65 Mauser. It wasn't until a day and half later while Oswald was still in custody that it was flashed all over the 3 networks that it was carcano.

That is strange.if they had the shells why didn't they have the riffle?do you believe they actually found 2 riffles up there.i found a great youtube today about the mauser riffle all the newscasters were sayingmauser then old walter cronkite changed the story.looking back on all that stuff, and we believed it, damm we was dumb..
