i strongly agree with tom on the he would've subjected the movie to lawsuits and credibility issues.

Then they'd try and come after you legally and in the media. They already kind of tried doing that with Oliver Stone and "JFK" anyway. There actually are people out there who think it was a sham. They just aren't well-read on the subject.
