Not likely a stinger. More likely a military exercise gone horribly array. I think it was Pierre Salinger who claimed to have an admission from a submarine caption that he had fired the missile which brought down TWA flight 800, which, by the way, was flying far lower than usual due to its late departure and incoming traffic.Thanks for the response, Pasquale. It was the nature of the investigation that I found particularly relevant. The comparisons to the Warren Commission are many and frightening.

Thom, sometimes posts go on the wayside, no matter how relevant they are. Trust me...I've been there...done that. But your subject matter is very interesting. These so called "investigations" or "commissions" are a farce, whether it's about Flight 800, the Warren Commission or 9/11. It's like going to a play where you know the ending before hand. The sheeple don't know, but the people in power do.

It' very telling that they can get away these shams, and so easily. I bet most people, knowing little, believe the government's tale of TWA Flight 800.

It's statistically no likely at all.) Anyway, Gerald Posner can put out his garbage, and it gets validation from a major news anchor on MSNBC, Chris Mathews. That's all it takes. The rest of us here don't give Posner's book any more credit just because Chris Matthews said it's good. We know better than that, BUT the public is more easily duped. This is really beginning to piss me off in a big way. The smug way in which they lie and then put it out as fact is really, really bugging me a lot.

You just saved me from saying the same thing. Bottom line, just look at Family of Secrets by Russ Baker. I know from talking to Russ that he has tried to get on Keith Olbermann's show, Rachel Maddow's show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Bill Maher's show on HBO, but nobody except those like Alex Jones and Air America are giving him a sniff. Why? Too much truth.
