Richard Helms was a very powerful if obscured force behind the Kennedy assassination. Phil Dragoo would agree with me on this. Yeah I think so Ken. Jim and Lisa have some great stuff on the set up. Its actually very involving of Howard Hughes and so fourthvery complex. Bob, yeah, shame I aint read Bakers take as of yet. I just wanna say that Ken and Bob along with Dragoo, Pasqueal, Bob Franklin,Al Doyle, Greg Parker, J Snow, Ostrowsky, Katisha and a few others make a painful trip about the death of democracy that much less lonely its an honor to serve in a unit with such fellows.If I didnt mention you and we bonded forgive me Im 2 parts pissed the part has a lady but thats another story for another day.

But yeah, theres definitely something more to it and Woodwards a little flunky as far as Im concerned.

I've always suspected Woodward of being on the inside, intelligence of one kind or another. It's no big surprise that Deep Throat was his source. Intelligence planted 'reporters' in newsrooms all the time, and Bradlee is on record as saying he was all for it. Pretty obvious, I think.Thom

I also believe Bob Woodward was an operative. Woodward had no real resume regarding his journalistic career, but was "assigned" to cover the Watergate story. Woodward was also in Naval intelligence before he became a journalist. Ironically, Woodward's partner in All The President's Men was Carl Bernstein.
