I never heard that one before Kirk...interesting. To me, 1968 was the year when I was truly awakened to politics and music. That year and it's music reminded me about what happened in '68, with the assassinations of MLK, RFK, the riots that were abundant in the U.S. then, plus the peace movement.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D4YYI8G ... Bob, I was pretty slow on the uptake in 68. I was in first grade, but at least I was not the kid that ate the black crayons. One of my first TV memories was the assassination of MLK. I had heard my family talk about JFK some, and some of my family knew LBJ pretty well. I think it was Watergate that awakened me. I actually watched the whole thing with my Grandad on the farm, which I now run. I watched Watergate break little pieces of his heart away about the country and government etc.The Beatles were and are a part of the soundtrack of my life as I know it. Harrison was my favorite. He seemed to just be there almost unnoticed next to John and Paul and Ringo. Of course that allowed him to be just that, and what I think he wanted. Revolution might be my favorite. Lately on my political forums I try to see how many times I can use Mao, example Mao ContentI owe that all to the Beatles. Being a songwriter I wrote my own dirge to Dallas, but I will not share that with anyone. It is terrible at best, but my late younger brother just loved it.Kirk
