Well that set my head spinning!..........Nevertheless I get the message. I have no desire to set JFK as a modern prophet but as a man who had a grip on the realities of the way things were going in the USA and wanted to change direction.Thats why he is such an important figure as no other recent President has matched him for guts on the big issues.

To portray JFK as somehow "righteous" is laughable indeed, and I mean by any Biblical, or ethical standard.Adultery is condemned by every belief system--see for example, C.S. Lewis' appendix to "Abolition of Man" for many belief systems and their rejection of morally corrupt behavior, but it is the "liberal" vs. the "conservative" mores that continues to challenge mankind.The liberals regard sex as somehow value-free as long as the adults are consenting, that what matters is "ethics" in terms of the larger society, paying your taxes, taking care of the needy, being loving and "nice".The conservatives regard the family and keeping sex within it as the most important thing. For the neo-cons foreign wars, a corrupt Federal Reserve, low taxes are the very important. Homosexuality, and sex outside of marriage are the nastiest of sins.These are characatures. One of the only requirements for being accepted into Christian community in Acts 15 were to refrain from fornication. You see this throughout the New Testament as an absolute requirement. What JFK did was violate the marriage vows in every conceivable way. He was shameless. But according to EWTN, he confessed all his sins to a father confessor the night before he died. Believe that if you will.

How would you define the spiritual variety?From the perspective of many in the Bible belt, the Catholic Church is "the great whore" of Revelation. Personally, I think that the harlot of Revelation is crass materialism. I could give my reasoning for that. But since Babylon is referenced in Revelation, which is a metaphor, and the first mention of "Babylon" were in Genesis, the interpretation should be tied to the original references. When the Israelites were taken captive to Bablyon they were over-awed by the luxury they saw. For many to say that the Roman Catholic church is spiritual Bablyon does not hold water IMO.What gets me is that JFK was carrying on affairs with all types of women and that his father confessor(s) did not hold him to account, that his wife was not upset enough to have a talk with Rose about this outrageous behavior. Maybe she saw these indiscretions as Hillary Clinton did with her husband--something she could not fix, and that some day she would have her personal fame.

I do not want nor intend to get into a religious debate here as to what people may or may not believe.One spiritual fornication that come to mind is worshiping false Gods.There may be others if you think about it.

That would sure thin out the politicians.may not be anyone left to serve
