In the Harold Weisberg collection at Hood College, I stumbled upon this Press Release by Jim Garrison (21 November 1972):http://jfk.hood.edu/Collection/Weisberg ... 2037.pdfon Page 2:..... The Cause of Death Certificate, made out by a civilian doctor at Parkland Hospital, is still recorded in Dallas and certifies that the President died from a gunshot wound of the temple -- which customarily is located at the front of the head.Assuming that we are not talking about the Admiral George G. Burkley signed death certificate, had anyone heard of this before or what Garrison's source is for this?

First off, good stuff, JD! My guess is this may have come from Dr. Robert N. McClelland. McClelland has said publicly that, based on his observations of Kennedy’s head wound, the President was hit by a gunshot from the front, not the rear, as the dog and pony show at Bethesda concluded at JFK's autopsy.
