Hello everyone. Longtime viewer, but first time poster. My nickname is Alec, and I am 19 years old from the states. I have been interested in the JFK assassination for roughly 2-3 years. I have visited this site and board many times and would like to thank and congratulate Wim for putting in all of his time and effort into making such a success.I have recently watched "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" for the first time. This was a very interesting nine part documentary, that I am sure almost 99% of all members here have also watched.A few questions...1. Does anyone believe that Joseph Milteer had any foreknowledge of the assassination? If I recall, he said the assassination was "in the works". The tapes that were presented during the show really convinced me that he knew of something beforehand.2. This is probably a "noob" question, but I have never stumbled across the answer. Why was J.D. Tippit killed? I know James Files revealed the picture of the man who killed him, but what motive did he have for killing Tippit in the first place?3. Does anyone believe Malcolm Williams was the shooter in the TSBD? His fingerprints matched the box on the 6th floor, according to the one expert, who I trust over the FBI, anyway. Thanks for your taking your time in answering these questions, and I am sorry if they are on a "beginners" level.Looking forward to many discussions!Alec

Regarding your second question about why Tippit was killed: I don't claim to have the definitive answer, but it was my understanding that Tippit was in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is, he stopped and questioned the armed man who was on his way to kill Oswald. My basis for this is partly James Files' account of what the hit man who visited him in his motel after the JFK assassination said. Also, I vaguely remember a story about a man who, at a 30 year assassination anniversary event or something, claimed that he was in a bathroom stall at the Dallas Police Dept. (I think) and overheard a conversation between two men, in which one of the men was yelling at the other for having killed a cop, etc. Sorry that I can't remember the name of the witness and am not positive on the details of his story. Maybe some other forum member can remind me.

Welcome to the forum Alec.I think Tippit probably was at the wrong place at the wrong time as well. But his actions before his murder are strange to say the least according to some witnesses.I believe Wallace was maybe setting up the "sniper's nest" to help implicate Oswald. Just a guess.

Hi Alec, and welcome to the forum- many great minds here, but consensus on particulars is rare. Here's how I see the three subjects-1) There is considerable reason to believe Milteer was in Dealey Plaza. Photos seem to place him there.2) Tippit, in my opinion, was not just some innocent cop who wound up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I believe he was involved in some kind of clandestine operation, though he may have had very limited knowledge as to the scope of that operation. I don't know why it became necessary for Tippit to be silenced.3) Although Malcolm WALLACE was a murderer, on that day he was likely just helping to set up Oswald (his kills were of the close range variety).Cheers!Thom

Some claim, Tippit had the same head-form as JFK and they, whoever that was, needed abody for the official cascet, while the real JFK was buried in the sea. I believe that.

A theory I've been considering recently about the Wallace fingerprint, is that maybe it was planted there as a way to blackmail Lyndon Johnson. Like they could have said to him ''We've put your henchman's print in the sniper's nest, if don't go along with the cover-up, your going take the rap for this.''

Alec,Welcome to the forum. I am still debating in my mind the murder of Tippit. I do not believe it was just a random act, but it is possible he was just in a the wrong place and the wrong time, but that rationale can be used for many things involving the day of the assassination. I believe at the moment that Tippit knew something, or had a role in the scenario. Killing a police officer in broad day light is an extreme act that would naturally bring lots of immediate attention to the area. I think it would have been avoided at all cost, if thought possible.

Regarding the murder of Tippit: The ear-witness whose name I couldn't recall when posting my earlier reply was Mike Robinson. If you go to
http://roswell.fortunecity.com/angelic/96/pclive.htm and scroll down to "The Incredible Story of Mike Robinson by Walt Brown, Ph.D," there is an excerpt about Mike's story from the book "Treachery in Dallas."
