Arthur Krock Article About the CIA in October of 1963

Post by Bob »

Some of you may have seen the Arthur Krock article from The New York Times which was written October 3, 1963. Some of you may not have seen this excellent piece. Either way, here it is:http://www.maebrussell.com/Military/CIA ... m.htmlJust think about the timing of this article. Written just 50 days before JFK was assassinated. Look at this key part of the article:The C.I.A.'s growth was "likened to a malignancy" which the "very high official was not sure even the White House could control . . . any longer." "If the United States ever experiences [an attempt at a coup to overthrow the Government] it will come from the C.I.A. and not the Pentagon." The agency "represents a tremendous power and total unaccountability to anyone."Krock obviously knew the pulse of what was going on with the CIA back in the fall of 1963. 50 days after his article was written, the CIA would lead the coup to assassinate JFK. And now going on 53 years later, the CIA leads the political agenda for the United States. Is it any wonder that the last four Presidents of the U.S., have all had ties and connections to the CIA prior to their stay in the White House.
