I just finished reading "Confessions of an economic hitman" by John Perkins and I would like to recommend it to everyone who is interested in a first hand description of the forces that rule the world today (and did in the time of the jfk assasination).
I bought 5 copies to lend to people I talk to about this stuff and hope you will do the same.
We all know now that the murder of jfk is part of a larger scheme and we should all educate ourselves.

I would also recommend two books by Wayne Madsen. One is fairly recent and is titled, Overthrow a Fascist Regime on $15 a Day. The other is, Jaded Tasks: Brass Plates, Black Ops & Big Oil-The Blood Politics of George Bush & Co.

if you go to google video, he has his talk listed and it is an eye opener. the man is very credible and an excellent speaker. it all makes sence.
When opec started their crap in the earlt 70's as a retaliation on our support of Israel, the us sent its messengers to the Saudis that if they persuaded opec to only accept us dollars for payment of it's oil, we would make sure that the royal family would stay in power. in exchange, they would buy us treasury securities with their profits which would give us the money to spend on their infra-structure. everyone was happy. why is that so important that the dollar was used in this way? because everyone would need to exchange their currency for ours to keep the price of the dollar up worldwide.
Saddam was given the same deal but he refused. Perkins says that we wotrk first with diplomacy, if that doesn't work, we call on the "jackels" which create havoc and then try to assassinate the leader. that did not work with him because he knew our tricks (he was a cia asset) and had many doubles that were so good that even the security men did not know if they were guarding a double or the real thing. He says that most of the security people worldwide were trained by the us so they send in the guy that trained heir people and convince them (with the help of a lot of cash) that the guy is no good. The problem with saddam was his doubles kept the security from making a move because if they killed the wrong guy, it would mean their life. If the "jackels" can't get the job done then they send in the military.
The real reason why we did not finish him off in 1991 was because we knew it would take a guy like saddam to run iraq, we did not want that job so we destroyed his army and we gave him a 2nd chance. he refused and the rest is history. It is amazing when you hear the truth for the first time, you soul just kind of gives you a nod that "this has a ring of truth in it"
Perkins said that what they do is go to a 3rd world country and offer them loans from the world bank or IMF to use on their infra-structure. the money is spent with american corporations that gets a sinful amount of profit from the job. then when the country cannot pay the loan back, they blackmail them with making them vote with us in un votes, or signing away their natural resources to american firms for pennies on the dollar, or sending troops in a coalition effort.(sound familiar?)
It makes me sick of our country and it's leadership.

I listen to an internet radio show called Dangerous Conversation, in which Perkins was interviewed within the last year or so. I know the host has mentioned he would like to get him back on soon. If I hear of anything further, I'll post such.M
