There were at least three or four individual shooters and maybe more, each firing one shot and than fading from the scene according to the wounds received by JFK and Connolly, plus shots that went astray. Some of the shooters were more qualified than others. The fact that Charles Nicolletti, just two days before the assassination, and having lost Roselli as a shooter, didn't seem to have any trouble finding another to take his place. There were more than enough to make sure JFK was not alive before passing under the underpass.
