Yes, I agree, it would have made sense for Phillips to have been there, and I do think it is him in the photo. I guess I'm thinking that such a find is news worthy- though I know the MSM has a habit of ignoring such things. I love the idea of this site developing new leads, and this looks a GREAT one. I realize that proving it is Phillips is not entirely possible, but if we could present compelling supporting evidence- such as collaborating expert analysis- we would have added more 'hard evidence' to the growing body of evidence. Seems some publication might run with it.

One was Wayne Madsen. Wayne has already responded. He will study this more closely, but his initial response is that he thinks it IS Phillips at the LHO press conference. Madsen was in the NSA and also in Naval intelligence before he became an investigative journalist and Wayne knows all about Phillips.I am going to check with Wayne to see if he would be willing to help illuminate this matter on his website. That's great. (Sorry I missed it the first time, or forgot about it).My paper (The Santa Cruz Comic News) has a small circulation, but I'd be delighted to publish JFK stories, especially those that present something 'new.' I could also post it on our online edition and maybe that would get some action.Combined with Phillip's HSC testimony and other supporting evidence of Phillip's involvement, the story could be quite compelling.

Here is a post from Frenchy earlier in the thread...Chris im sorry I have been informed by Gary Mack, that the man you thought was Phillips is in fact, John Rutledge, a Dallas Morning News reporter who was well known in town for many years.So it is not Phillips.That in itself tells me we are on to something. The two photos that I posted in the first post don't lie. You can scroll the photos just right and see both photos at the same time. If that isn't Phillips then I am Stevie Wonder. And as I said, other researchers like Wayne Madsen agree. Russ Baker thought the photos were quite revealing as well.

Bob, after looking at those photos you mentioned, I too believe it's Phillips.

I'd rather say, that the nose root (between the eyebrowes) showes Ruthledge's one and the rhombic forehead as well. Phillips forehead is more square-type. So poking in the guessing/feeling/assuming does not help. We need decent research about Phillips' whereabouts on 22/11/63. There is a photo of the late Ed Lansdale together with Oliver North and other CIA-assets in Lansdale's book. I'm sure Ed Lansdale knew about the whereabouts of Atlee Phillips on 22/11/63 and that he told Oliver North about how things were plotted on that day. So Oli North could tell us.

Chris, if you get an opportunity, please post a photo of Rutledge. I have looked but I can't find one. I'd like to compare it to the photos in the first post of this thread.

Ditto. I've looked for a photo of Rutledge and have had zero success.Interesting stuff about Lansdale and Ollie North.
