How Many Headshots?
How Many Headshots?
Okay, here's something that I've been wondering about for a while, and I may have asked about it once, but I'm still not satisfied....We know the fatal head shot came from the front, or right front; entry wound in right temple, gaping exit wound in back of head. It's a no-brainer. But what evidence do we really have of a head shot entering from the rear? I know Files claims Nicoletti, firing from the Dal-Tex building, hit JFK in the head a split second before the Files' head shot, but what is there really to support it, other than the Zapruder film which is certainly not conclusive and certainly not unimpeachable. Medically what do we have? No one at Parkland noted of anything that remotely could be considered a wound of entry. Nor did the autopsy technicians at Bethesda. We know the autopsy photos are bogus, so what have we really got?I suppose it's possible that the gaping exit wound blew out an entry wound. It's possible. But that's just speculation. Do we have anything more?

For me, there were two shots, and I believe this for the following reasons. They're not many, but they work for me.Until recently, I didn't know that even Cyril Wecht has been saying for years that he thought there were two head shots. If you slow the Zapruder film down (I believe there's a clip of it here on this forum), you see JFK's head actually go forward for a split second before getting thrown back which is also indicative of a shot from the rear just before the shot from the front.Files also said the same thing. There WERE shooters shooting from the back who were trying to hit JFK too. Those are my reasons. I suppose they could all be argued, but that's my position on it.

I concur with Pasquale. The headwound was horrific, and I think two simultaneous shots caused the damage.

I suppose they could all be argued, but that's my position on it.I'd like to play devil's advocate on this one.First, the best evidence would be the body, and then people who observed the body. So, right off the bat, the evidence you've presented is less than ideal. The Zapruder film is not conclusive on the matter, though it is suggestive. However, there is ample evidence- conclusive to many of us- that the Zapruder film has been altered, and altered for the purpose of eliminating the stop or near stop of the presidential limousine, and also to make it appear that the fatal shot pushed JFK forward. Files testimony is believable (to some of us), but that doesn't mean it's true. But it all boils down to this: If JFK was hit in the head from behind, where did the bullet enter, and why did NO ONE recognize the point of entry? I am not aware of ANY supporting evidence of an entry wound anywhere other than JFK's right temple.I find that very, very puzzling.

Re: How Many Headshots?
Right where the massive head wound was found by the Parkland doctors.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhWJowvb ... relatedThe confusion was about whether it was an entrance wound or an exit wound when two shots actually caused horrific head damage.

I thought there actually was some evidence of a shot from the rear that many thought was an alteration made after he died. This next point isn't conclusive...but...evidence of the shot that hit JFK in the head from the rear could also have been blasted away by the frangible bullet that hit him from the front.Regarding a frangible bullet being used, just looking at the damage done to JFK's head, it's obvious to me that a frangible bullet was used for the frontal headshot. Normal bullets don't make that much damage like that.

Normal bullets don't make that much damage like that.A frangible bullet entering at the right temple, I think, would fully explain the horrific nature of all the president's head wounds. It's possible that a shot entered the rear portion of the president's head that was then blown out by the frontal shot, but again, my point is, there seems to be absolutely no evidence to support it. Everything all the medical eye witnesses say is 100% consistent with one shot entering at the right temple and blowing out the back of JFK's head.

It would seem that it didn't, which I guess is possible. But again, there does not seem to be any real evidence of a head shot entering from behind. That's not to say it didn't happen. But as there is no medical evidence to support it, it appears to be to be far more likely that the president was hit only once in the head, from the front. On one side you have Files and maybe Zapruder. On the other, you have every medical witness.
