I picked up my wife at the San Francisco Airport last night and the flight from Munich had wiped her out. When we got back to Bonny Doon (Santa Cruz) at about midnight, she said she couldn't wait to go to bed and get some sleep. But she spent the next two hours cleaning the house!True story.

It happens my friend. Last night, I was watching a boring baseball game and was struggling to stay awake. I went to bed fairly early (10:00)...I thought. The baseball game became really good, so I stayed awake. Then I heard the Ted Kennedy news. Next thing I know it's 2:00 in the morning.

I found all sorts of ways to amuse myself while the rest of California was SLEEPING!!! LOL

I was up late too and watched as the story broke too! It was almost midnight here in California. We need your mind and input here fresh, like morning-coffee fresh! Do we need to make a bedtime curfew for you?

Thom and Pasquale, I know that I'm a bit of late night guy, based on my late ventures into this forum at times, but even though you guys are a couple hours behind me, you guys burn the midnight oil as well.

I am staying at the family summer home (right on Lake Michigan), and I am using my mom's old room, and before that it was her mom's (grandma). My mom woke me up on June 5th, 1968 and we watched the RFK assassination story together in the late hours of the evening and early morning. I watched RFK's funeral at this house with my grandma holding me and sobbing. It was deja vu, as the same thing happened when JFK was assassinated and I was just a young whipper snapper.
