If there is one book on the JFK assassination that you haven't read yet, I highly recommend you purchase this book. It is the best book on the JFK case in many many years. I just finished reading the book after purchasing it from Amazon. Yes Bob, it is good to know that this book is still #1 JFK book at amazon. Compare that to Bugliosi cement block of a book which is pretty much at the other end of the spectrum. I'm sure it gives one David Von Pein a warm and fuzzy feeling at the pit of his stomach to know that fact.

I think we would all do well to track down Jim Di's top 20 books and Lisa Peases and that my friends as they say is case closed. Ill get them and put up a link. Douglas's book of course is in both and I think its either at one or two in both lists

To me, the best books about the JFK assassination in 2009 are the book by Douglass, and also the one I have mentioned before in this forum...Family of Secrets by Russ Baker. However, notice how the MSM has gone out of their way to NOT help push these books? Too much truth? Meanwhile, we have assholes like Chris Matthews gushing over idiots like Gerald Posner. Matthews was the guy who also said in his "special" about the Kennedys after Ted's passing, that RFK tried to distance himself from JFK, who was FOR the Vietnam war. Just utter bullshit. I wrote Matthews that as well. Called him a coward. But there are many like him in the MSM, especially at Fox news. Right Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck? In his book Douglass, goes in to great detail talking about the thwarted Chicago plot. The FBi had learned from an informant that 4 snipers planned to shoot JFK with high powered weapons. The FBI said that "the suspects were rightwing para-military fanatics". The FBI knew this from an informant named "Lee".

I also reocmmend Crossfire, by Jim Marrs, and all of Dr. Jim Fetzer's books about the assassinaton and how we were lied to. Once we realize that our President, to have any real power to STOP waging war, needs our full support against the bankers, military-industrial complex, and the corrupt congressional members who work against him, perhaps we can start moving away from the brink of fascism into a true democracy.
