I was watching the Madeline Brown interview and she said Ruby was always involved with the gang at the Adolfusand LBJ knew him well.Why do you think Ruby shot LHO in front of the whole world?Did he have a death wish or was he brainwashed?Don't make sense to me.Maybe he was just distraught over the assasination

first thing that comes to mind is he screwed up somehow in making sure that oswald would never lived that long so he had to finish the job or he would wind up pushing up daiseys. regardless of the above, he was a soldier and because of his connections with the police department, he was the one who would have the best access to get in the position. ruby probably thought that he would only get a few years because of public sentiment over the jfk killing. it was probably best it was done in front of cameras so nobody would think there was some kind of hanky panky going on. the public accepted the story as is. if oswald would have developed food poisening or a heart attack then others would be more tempted to question some kind of cover up. the main reason is it had to be done fast because as soon as oswald figured out that the fbi or cia was not going to help him and deny that he was an operative, then he would have started to talk. supposedly he whispered to one of the cops that arrested him to call the fbi and tell them that he had been arrested. he was expecting some help that wasn't going to come. that is why i think he asked for john abt to come forward and be his attorney. he didn't really want him as an attorney. it was a code. abt represented communists in prior years and oswald was just trying to tell the reporters who would publish his words in print and on radio and tv that his communist cover was still intact and that he had not broken his cover.

Still it is a little confusing about Ruby. He was trying to incriminate LBJ and maybe others.wanted to go to Washington so he could tell his story?

He was at the police station correcting the Chief about exactly which committee the "leftist" Oswald belonged to.He got into the basement when someone signalled him from a back door of city hall while he was "wiring money". It was probably Dean, who let him in, made sure he could get down to the basement.
