Bob,I say it is always better to be lucky then good. I am happy for the saints and Drew Brees, and New Orleans of course. I use to really love everything about football. It was perfect escape from real life, but over the years it has become real life for so many... The Opiate of the Masses as has been said. If the prize must be an open car through Dealey lets drawn the line on Greer doing the driving. :O)Bob wrote:Well...it looks like Kirk and I were the only ones that correctly predicted a Saints win. We both said the Saints would win by 4. However, I did say the Saints would score more than 30 points, unlike Captain Kirk. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile. Thom said something about a special prize. I'll gladly share with Kirk though. I just hope the prize isn't a parade route through Dealey Plaza.

Otherwise, you'll be framed like LHO. It will be a clear case of "who dat", speaking of a New Orleans victory in the Super Bowl.

I should get a consolation prize. I did predict the Saints would score 31 points.

Tom I always had great respect for Bobby Knight.I wish he would have quit when he left Indiana. He was a great disiplinarian. He never allowed his player to express any displeasuredurring the game. He took care of that for them, threw chairs ect.Alot of people were against him but that is always the case with a winner.I don't think Indiana has had a team since he left there.I was at a friends house a few years ago and he said come in here and see my new chair.I thought what the hell, has he got a throne of a king or what, just could not imagine.he had a large room all decked out in IU trivia, pictures, game balls, nets everythingon the floor was a nice big red rug with big white IU, in the center was a blue vynle chair with metal legs.In the bottom of the chair in black marker Bobby Knight had signed it.It was the chair he had tossed across the floor. My friend had me set in the chair while he showed me all the stuffI felt like I was setting on a throne. He said peope from all over came to see the chair. he didn't know how they find him.said he gave around 5 grand for it at an IU alumni fundraiser

True story. Dick Schapp went out to dinner one night and was met by Bobby Knight and Vince Lombardi Jr. The two had never met either. Schapp introduced the two by saying, "Vince Lombardi Jr., I'd like you to meet Vince Lombardi Jr."

Congrats to Bob and Kirk. Bob actually picked the winner, while Kirk precisely predicted where the game would be with three minutes left (though he chose to go no further)- and he was about as close as could be.Tough to pick a winner between those two, but from this keyboard it's got to be the guy who chose the Saints without reservation.Bob, you can come buy and pick up your key anytime.Thom
