Horne III
Jim Di Eugenio is correct that Doug Horne's absence of end notes and index handicap the reader. But in defense of Horne despite much criticism, I would say it's amazing he's not crazy after four years with a board which wanted the case to go away unquestioned, and ten years alone with his notes and his thoughts.I found many times in the volumes that Humes, Boswell and Finck should have been put in the Yuri I. Nosenko Hospitality Suite, so insufferable was their tiresome Mickey the Dope routine.Simon Crowley at the least, ridiculing and humiliating them; or a Soupy Sales barrage of a hundred pies for their childish games.Or simply tase them. Ye gods and little fishes, how many times can grown professional men be allowed to weasel and whine, “Oh, gee, it's so hard to really say—this could be a photo of a giraffe or an x-ray of a bear riding a pony.”Jim Di Eugenio and Doug Horne present the testimony of Dr. Canada who saw the gaping wound in the rear of the skull and said the record had to conceal that—but don't reveal this until 25 years after I am dead.At least Horne gave a rat's ass about the truth—yes, he overwrites. Yes, 2,000 pages is making my arms very strong. And the autopsists are making my ass very tired.Could someone go out and get Specter with a big net and put him in stocks by the reflecting pool for a new reality show. Magic Bullet My AssBravo Phil...Bravo. I agree 1000% with you. Yes...Horne is wordy and could use some decent editing, but he doesn't hide the truth. He in fact, exposes it.
