DPD agentA DPD sergeant who called an ambulance for Jerry B. Belknap, a Dallas Morning News employee who suffered an epileptic seizure in front of the TSBD shortly before the presidential motorcade's arrival.Right after the shots, Harkness searched the area behind the TSBD, looking for evidence and suspects. He questioned Howard L. Brennan and Amos Lee Euins, among others.Then, he went towards the railroad and arrested three tramps in a train about to leave.

•Sergeant D.V. Harkness sees several men in suits that in his words were “well armed” behind the schoolbook depository building a few minutes after the assassination. He approached them and they identified themselves as Secret Service agents, showing credentials.
