This three-part series from Russ Baker's Who.What.Why. is from David Talbot's Inside the Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of the American Secret Government.It's very interesting reading. For instance, I never knew that JFK was feeling magnanimous towards Dulles when he was forced out from the CIA. Also, while the Kennedy brothers tried to get rid of most of the Dulles-sympathizers in the CIA, they still left a couple of key Dulles-loyalists at Langley. I'm talking about James Angleton and Richard Helms, who both still called on Dulles often, even after he "left" the CIA. Let's face it, JFK and RFK pissed off a LOT of powerful people. Not just people in the CIA, but also in the Military Industrial Complex (with Cuba and Vietnam), Big Banking (the changes that JFK was making to the Federal Reserve), Big Oil (the oil depletion allowance that JFK was going to change) and the Mob (who RFK was going after with zeal).When you mess with those folks, it's just a matter of time before they find a way to eliminate you. All of the above forces were involved in the events which transpired on 11/22/1963.
