Dear Global Forum Members and Readers:
ONE SHOT - ONE KILL, 1990 by Charles W. Sasser and Craig Roberts, also authors of CROSSHAIRS ON THE KILL ZONE.
"THEY TOOK THE WAR TO THE ENEMY...AMERICAN COMBAT SNIPERS, WORLD WAR II, KOREA, VIETNAM, BEIRUT..."
"They are the lone wolves of the battlefield. Tracking the enemy, lying in wait for the target to appear - then they shoot to kill.
Armed with an unerring eye, infinite patience and a mastery of camouflage, combat snipers stalk the enemy with only one goal..."
"In World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Beirut, American snipers honed the art of delivering a single deadly shot from nowhere -
and devastating enemy morale. They meet the enemy on his own turf, picking off officers, unwary soldiers, and even other snipers
from extraordinary distances of up to 1.5 miles. Now, these uncommon men tell their stories: of the emotions felt when a man's
face came into their crosshairs and they pulled the trigger, of the nerve-wracking hours and days of waiting, motionless, for the
enemy, of the primal savergy of a sniper duel."
"Often trained haphazardly in wartime, and forgotten in times of peace, combat snipers were officially recognized after the
Vietnam War, when the Marine Corps became the first military branch to start a full-time sniper school. ONE SHOT - ONE KILL
is their powerful record of disparate trials and proud victories."
My Commentary:
Jimmy Files, previously known as James Earl Sutton, is the self-confessed Grassy Knoll Assassin of President John F. Kennedy,
11.22.1963 at 12:30 p.m. Dallas time. Files never told of his background, training, exploits or missions, including but not limited
to his involvement in the JFK Assignment. The FBI originally helped identify and leaked Jimmy Files as JFK's Grassy Knoll Shooter.
Files was 82nd Airborne, serving in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Files became a highly regarded sniper. The CIA'a Theodore "Ted -
The Blond Ghost" Shackley recommended Files to CIA Controller/Handler David Atlee Phillips.
Reading this book and listening to Files Live Interviews by Willem Jan Dankbaar and Jim Marrs in the taped/video for FILES
ON JFK, 1994 at Illinois' Stateville Department of Corrections one hears Files background, expertise and training come
through.
Files states that while Lee Harvey Oswald was driving him around, Files purpose "...was to scout the terrain..." for the best
possible shooting locations to take JFK out, with One Shot - One Kill, if necessary."
Both books, ONE SHOT - ONE KILL and FILES ON JFK, when read together are comparable, enlightening, remarkable, stunning,
and unnerving.
thoughts...
best...
