The planners' expectations

I have always wondered how the planners of the JFK assassination expected it to pan out. What were some of their major plans, and, if events went according to plan, what did they expect to accomplish, even understood as a short-term goal?
It seems to me that a major blunder in their plans was that Lee Oswald was not murdered on the same day as the president. Three unresolvable problems then presented themselves, all of which lead, in my opinion, to the ultimate plotters.
The first is the Oswald/Clay Shaw connection. Using Shaw, an old OSS hand, to chaffeur Oswald around Louisiana, leads straight back to the planners, who are, in my view, part of the team of the old OSS who participated in the formation of the National Security State and the CIA. Both Dulles and McCloy were part of this formation.
Another problem is the message that was broadcast out of the Situation Room in the White House from McGeorge Bundy, another elitist from the Eastern Establishment. This message was received by Air Force One while the plane was bringing the newly sworn in president back to Washington. McBundy told the new President that the perpetrator was none other than Oswald, who had been captured. McBundy knew who the killer was, only hours after the event! These taped transcripts have been lost, and never have been recovered.
The third problem is the second Oswalds. Since it has been definitely shown there were two Oswald, this fact alone proves conspiracy. But what was supposed to happen?
It seems to me that, more and more, Oswald was supposed to have been killed immediately. Shortly thereafter, information would be leaked, little by little, probably to the prestigious eastern papers, reciting the events that the second Oswald was supposed to have done. There would undoubtedly have been a Texas investigation, which would have been much more easily controlled, but there would not have been a Warren Commission, and probably little or no attention paid to a government autopsy.
Presumably, according to the planners, when the masses found out that Oswald had lived in Russia, had a Russian wife, traveled to Mexico, owned a rifle and a gun, so forth, was actively pro-Castro, and all the rest of it, they were to rise up in outrage and force the government to take action against Cuba and get rid of Castro.
Among lower-level goals, then, I think the setting up of Oswald was designed as a pretext for the US invasion of Cuba.

You raise a very intelligent point about Lee Harvey Oswald.

Lee Harvey Oswald was to be killed. While in route to kill Lee Harvey Oswald the designated hitman encountered Officer Tippett, and killed
him. This completely foiled his plans to kill Oswald, who was then, as we all know, arrested at the movie theatre.

Jimmy strongly maintains that David Atlee Phillips ordered Lee Harvey Oswald to the movie theatre, as David Atlee Phillips was the handler of both Jimmy Sutton and Lee Harvey Oswald. At this point in time Oswald would certainly take orders from only a trusted few.

As of 11.22.2006 the killer of Officer Tippett is still alive.

The question is, was Oswalds murder supose to be something that would have been sanctioned by the Dallas Police, or was suppose to be another lone nut/ Ruby chariture that silenced Oswald.
