Do my eyes deceive me or is that a lead-car brake light I see?The photo comes from the front page of the New York Times, November 23, 1963.

Thom, when you read Family of Secrets, Russ Baker writes about the lead car. Baker writes about how that car that which led the motorcade, had military intelligence figures in the car that were directly linked to Poppy Bu$h.

I don't know. It appears to have a roof so that rules out the president's car, the followup SS car, and Johnson's car. But whatever car it is, why is this photo significant (or am I missing something obvious)?

Thom, at the right side of the triple underpass, there was a tunnel, too, for the pedestrians maybe, I don't know. Is there any possiblity, that somebody shot from there? Would the railroad workers on the bridge have noticed that? Would it be possible that a shot from there would have passed Kellerman and Connally and hit JFK in the front? I think it would have been possible before Z313, but shots from there would have endangered the spectators and the follow up car pretty much maybe. It's just considerations ...

Christoph,I hadn't considered shots from the pedestrian underpass, but it seems a possibility though. It might explain the front to back shot through the windshield. Are you aware of any other supporting evidence for a host from this position?Thom

good point Chris!...I never noticed that...but...I beleive that picture is JFKs car...the colored one may have it wrong...I dont see a top on the car in the first photo...it looks to me like Clint Hill hugging the top...not clear enough to really tell....but also looks to me like the flags on the front 1/4 panels

also...is there a pedestrian walk on the other side too?....that may explain a triangulation in shots and why Tosh Plumlee smelled gun powder.
