See this page from the Genuine Godfather by Bill Roemer.
Accardo was the boss from 1950 untill his death. Exactly as Jimmy said.

1. Files claims he was involved with the mob as part of "The Chicago Family" (by timelines after September 1960). He indicated the mob was headed by Tony Accardo and that "(Sam) Giancana was an underling to Accardo."
Tony Accardo turned control of the Chicago mob over to Sam "Mooney" Gianciana in the summer of 1955.

06.17.2010Dear JFK Murder Solved Forum Members and Readers:
W - As of this week I have found no proof that Tony Accardo ever turned over control to Sam Giancana.
No solid evidence has ever contradicted J's statement, or Bill Roemer's research, study, and publication.A
As always, I strongly recommend that you first read, research, and study material completely yourself about a Subject Matter, and then formulate your own Opinions and Theories.
Any additional analyses, interviews, investigations, readings, research, studies, thoughts, or writings onany aspect of this Subject Matter ?
Bear in mind that we are trying to attract and educate a Whole New Generation of JFK Researchers
who may not be as well versed as you.
Comments ?
Respectfully,
BB.

Re: Tony Accardo
Tony Accardo, a/k/a Anthony "Joe Batters" Accardo was one of the most powerful mob bosses in the U.S.A. ever. The order for the JFK hit had to come through Tony Accardo, to Sam Giancana, then to Charles Nicoletti, Johnny Roselli, and Jimmy Sutton-Files.
Johnny Roselli was not a Don. He did not have that authority to overrule Accardo, Giancana, or Nicoletti. That is why Roselli was ignored by both Nicoletti and Sutton with Roselli's alleged Abort Order to stop the JFK Hit.
And who actually believes that Tosh Plumlee was seriously thereto abort the JFK Hit ?
Or was that mere window dressing for the CIA to provide Plausible Deniability ?
Robert DeNiro is going to be featured in a movie filmed in Chicago, Illinois about Tony Accardo.
DeNiro who played Al Capone in the movie The Untouchables also starring Kevin Costner and Sean Connery, will be playing Tony Accardo.
Interesting that Robert DeNiro will have played the two of most powerful mob bosses of all time, and both were from Chicago.
Retired FBI Agent Zack Shelton is a consultant on the Tony Accardo movie.
Any additional input ?
